Some words about working in the Chinese restaurant..
I decided to take this job after Kevin said he thinks im 'lazy and spoiled', and this restaurant job would be a very good experience for me. And of course, I needed the money (16000kr per month for hours' working everyday). Still, to be very honest I've been trying to convince myself this entire one month and a half that 'it is just a summer job and a lot of money' which i shouldn't be ashamed for, but i couldnt get rid of this idea even till the end..I wonder if it is about that chinese 'class difference' opinion which is rooted in my mind, so i cant accept myself to be a waitress (since i surprisingly found most of my Swedish friends just think im silly to be ashamed. Most of them would say, come on, at least you got a job and you get money, how can this be a reason to be ashamed); or maybe just i have used to get surprising compliments when people hear where i worked.. However, I would still like to admit that I did learn from it and not only how to carry 5 plates at the same time. I don't regret doing it, Mårten was right, I think we get to learn from all kinds of jobs, even shit jobs, you always learn something which would benefit your life in the long run.
Crew members of the Chinese restaurant:
Lao Da in the kitchenOggi from Mongolia. I surprisingly found a LOT of mongolians working in Chinese restaurants here, and mostly they dont speak English or Swedish.. But Oggi was a really nice guy and he was easy to communicate even we dont speak a common language..
Me and the restaurant crew
I had the same view from the seat over there for one month and a half and i spent most of the time watching people walking through.. Felt like i was a bird in a cage.. Here is the old customer of the restaurant, he usually comes here and drinks everyday from morning to night.. The last day I worked in the restaurant, he got a heart attack and asked for water from us.. He is a very nice old man though, I wish him the best..
Typical fake Chinese food, 'Fyra små rätter och Friterad banan med glass', which seems to be quite popular in Sweden..
Fake Chinese food 2: Friterad räkor och friterad kyckling
Fake Chinese food 3: Kyckling Saudi..
Actually most of the food in the Chinese restaurant here are fake .. Just those look way too fake that I almost couldn't stand...
By the way, I was so happy when I finally finished that job so I cut my working skirt.. into this:P
